PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) Aware Week begins Monday, October 23rd!  The PrEP Aware Week website, https://prepforsex.org , is now live with all of the 2023 PrEP Aware Week materials available for download, including the Social Media Toolkit! This year’s theme “PrEP is for Every Body,” is a multi-meaning message, that celebrates healthy, pleasurable, and responsible sexual relationships for literally “every BODY.”

AIDS Institute staff and contractors are encouraged to use the:

  • PrEP Aware Week Graphic
  • PrEp Aware Week Email Signature
  • PrEP Aware Week Zoom Background
  • Other resources like a phone on-hold message, waiting room video, and other consumer education materials.

The Social Media Toolkit highlights eight Community PrEP Aware Week Ambassadors with important messages about what PrEP means for them. For each ambassador you will find:

  • A video exploring the "PrEP is for Every Body" theme
  • Social media graphics/ads sized for different platforms
  • Sample social media posts

Health and social services agencies, local health departments (LHDs), AIDS Institute (AI) funded programs, Houses of Worship, advocates and individuals are all strongly encouraged to share the videos, graphics/ads and posts on their social media platforms and to use the designated hashtags - #PrEPAwareWeek2023 and #PrEPisforEveryBody.

Help get the word out about PrEP and make PrEP Aware Week 2023 an opportunity to educate everyone about PrEP as an accessible option to promote HIV prevention and sexual health.
