Call for Abstracts: World AIDS Day & ETE Summit 2023
The New York State Department of Health, AIDS Institute, is pleased to announce the call for abstracts is now open for the 8th Annual Ending the Epidemic (ETE) Summit, to be held on November 28 and 29, 2023, and the 25th World AIDS Day (WAD) event on November 30, 2023, at the Albany Capital Center in Albany, NY.
Authors are encouraged to submit abstracts on this year's theme:
Family Reunion: Together we Adapt and Thrive!
Across the state, stakeholders have overcome challenges by developing creative and innovative ways of engagement to end the epidemic. Selected abstracts will highlight the transformative efforts to help people living with, or impacted by, HIV, STIs, and HCV, adapt and thrive. Adapting and thriving means: engaging marginalized communities in new ways, identifying and eliminating systemic barriers and health disparities, and implementing data-driven, evidence-informed practices and policies in an accessible and inclusive manner to best reach all New Yorkers.
All abstract proposals must be submitted by July 21, 2023, at 11:59 pm EST.
Applicants will be notified in August if their abstract is accepted for presentation. Speaker Orientation will be held in September/October. Final presentation materials are due in late September. Keep an eye out for Summit and WAD event registration details this Fall.
